Age – Simply put, if your battery is old, there is a chance that it’s just time to replace it.  Many batteries have some sort of indicator that tells you the manufacturing date.  If not, you can judge the age based on when it was installed.  By rule of thumb, a battery should be replaced every three years or so based on the battery.
