If your dog or cat has a favorite toy, blanket, or other security item, make sure you bring that with you. Plan to Take Regular Stops – Depending on how long your trip is going to be, you will want to plan to take sufficient stops to allow your pet time outside the vehicle . This will allow your pet to get some energy out by walking and/or playing.  Plus, it is the perfect time for your pet to use the bathroom if needed.
